The amount of heat which is lost represents a huge waste of energy and money. A set of glass doors is like a storm door for your fireplace. You will reduce the loss of heated room air while still enjoying the dancing flames.
Before you visit us, look at your fireplace closely.
Is the fireplace PREFABRICATED (metal box) or 100% real MASONRY? If you can't tell, take a photo and email it to us at questions@fireplaceexperts.com.
Some tips that indicate a prefabricated fireplace are: the interior walls of the fireplace are metal the damper or chimney is round metal pipe there are louvers or metal vents above or on the sides of the opening
Measure your fireplace height and width. Take some digital pictures of the fireplace. Bring them in or send them by email. If you have a prefabricated fireplace you need special doors! If the face of the fireplace is irregular, such as stone, a custom glass enclosure will likely be needed.
