What do you need when walking into The Stove Shop’s showroom in Phoenixville, PA?
As Abraham Lincoln once said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” Preparation creates clarity so you can get the best gas fireplace or wood stove for your home. If you don’t have a lot of time to spend in the showroom, pictures are the best way to clearly communicate your project goals.
What pictures do you need to bring with you to a fireplace showroom appointment?
Please bring these three pictures and any other inspections related to the project. If you do not have a Level 2 chimney inspection for your existing fireplace, most fireplace showrooms will require one before any work is completed. A Level 2 chimney inspection is a report filled with images of all accessible areas of your flue. Pro tip: Look for fireplace showrooms with installers who are NFI or CSIA certified.
First step, find yourself a sales associate if you want to get an estimate of your project. Some folks prefer to walk around and check out the fireplace showroom. Most fireplace and stove retail locations have live burning displays that you can explore. We recommend picking up a remote and trying to turn on a fireplace to see if it is intuitive. The sales associate should be interested in helping you solve a problem. Most folks do not know exactly what they need in their home- it’s the job of a hearth expert to help you find something that will be worth the investment once your showroom experience has long ended.
This is where the showroom experience gets a bit more specific, depending on the fireplace shop you are exploring.
At The Stove Shop, we listen to your goals and recommend a solution based on your project. Our showroom sales team will put together an initial order and discuss the estimated items with you. If you are ok with the estimate, we will schedule a site visit with our estimator to check out your home in person. Once our estimator confirms the final quote with you, we can take a deposit for half of the total, get the items ordered for your installation and get you scheduled for a new installation.
The Stove Shop fireplace showroom has many live burning displays. We have a variety of hearth options from gas fireplaces to wood stoves, pellet fireplace inserts and linear electric fireplaces. Serving Southeastern, PA including Chester county, Delaware county & Montgomery county.
