I recently worked with Brandon at The Stove Shop in Phoenixville, and I can honestly say the experience was top-tier from start to finish. You don’t always expect true professionalism in a world of back-ordered parts and “we’ll be there sometime between sunrise and next Tuesday,” but Brandon sets a whole new standard. From the first conversation, it was clear he knows his stuff—and not in an “I’ve memorized the brochure” way, but in a calm, confident, I actually understand how this works way. I ended up going with a Heat & Glo SupremeX with birch logs and the greige interior, and Brandon made the whole process feel effortless. He walked me through every detail without ever overselling, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood exactly what to expect. He was accommodating with timing, followed up quickly, and had that “we’re going to get this right” attitude that you rarely see anymore. What really stands out is that he somehow manages to be both knowledgeable and genuinely funny—the kind of guy who can explain BTUs, venting clearances, and interior panel options while still keeping you laughing. It makes the whole experience lighter, faster, and a lot more enjoyable. But don’t let the humor fool you: the work was meticulous, and he clearly takes pride in doing things properly. If you’re considering a fireplace or stove upgrade, do yourself a favor and talk to Brandon. Between his expertise, professionalism, and personality, he turns a big home decision into a genuinely smooth experience. The Stove Shop is lucky to have him—and now I’m lucky to have a fireplace that looks incredible and works even better.

Stove Shop installed a replacement gas fireplace/heater for an old unit in the home we just purchased. Most importantly, there were several serious safety issues with the old unit and we are grateful for the comprehensive inspection the Stove Shop folks did to identify those before something bad happened. The Stove Shop folks were able to recommend a economical replacement unit and did a wonderful job fixing the safety issues and installing a new unit. From the front line technicians to the back office staff, everyone we dealt with at the Stove Shop was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and focused on delivering outstanding customer service. I would, and will, do business with the Stove Shop again without hesitation and we strongly recommend them to you for all your fireplace and stove needs.

We want to thank the entire team at The Stove Shop for an extremely positive experience. This business is the epitome of a successful small business. Everyone we met -- three visits there before deciding what to purchase -- were knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. Special thanks to our sales rep, Jay, who was a pleasure to work with -- he made the decision-making process easy -- and our Installer, Erich, whose experience and expertise were unmatched. We highly recommend The Stove Shop!

We LOVE our new gas fireplace with heater fan ( replaced existing one ) !! From Alex in the show room to Ian ( surveyor ), Eric and Dan the installers and the ladies in customer service - everyone was great. Eric and Dan explained everything they were doing. They were neat, professional and efficient! We highly recommend the Stove Shop and we are glad we shopped around. The local place wanted to charge $1500 just to remove our old one 😡 , Stove Shop only charged $300. Thank you again to The Stove Shop!!

We are Grateful to Serve Our Community

In nearly 50 years of business, we’ve learned that knowing what to expect gives our customers the confidence to focus on what truly matters, your specific home’s needs. Every project is different.

Our goal here is to explain the process of completing a new fireplace installation project with us at The Stove Shop Fireplace Experts in Phoenixville, PA.  We want to make sure you install the best fireplace or stove for your home.

Getting a new installation for your dream fireplace seems daunting. We promise, with the right guidance, most of our actual time in your home doing the installation is under one day.

We have installed many fireplaces and stoves for home heating throughout Southeastern, PA. Our team will do everything we can to support you for the lifetime of your install. Read on to get complete details about the steps summarized above.

Step 1: Get an Initial Project Estimate then Visit Our Showroom

You fill out the form, we get you an estimated full project price range for a new fireplace or stove installation. The only unknows will be gas line or electric labor. If you are okay with the project budget, we get you scheduled for a site visit at your home after visiting our showroom. Usually we are able to schedule you for an in-home site visit with our estimator within two weeks of visiting our fireplace showroom.

At the in-home site visit, our goal is to confirm the estimate as written in our Phoenixville, PA fireplace showroom. Before we come out to your home, it is crucial that you know what you want. We offer a site visit for free because we rely on you being committed to a specific fireplace or stove. It is okay if you are deciding between two similar models of the same fuel type.

Typically, if you have not seen a product in person, it is very hard for you to know if you will like it. We highly encourage coming into our fireplace showroom before expecting to have us come out to your home for a free site visit and final project quote.

Step 2: Get a Site Visit and Confirm Your Final Quote

We confirm your fireplace project with a free site visit from an experienced pro. Our estimators are experienced with decades in the hearth industry. We carry the Master Hearth Professional National Fireplace Institute certification across all fuel types – pellet, gas and wood.

No down payment or cash deposit required for an in-home fireplace project estimate! We do not want to make the process of buying a new gas fireplace or wood stove more complicated. If you take the time to come into our showroom and share your story of how we can help, the least we can do is come out to your home and assess if the project is possible.

We believe that it is right to treat people how you would like to be treated. At The Stove Shop, that means removing the bumps in your way and making buying a new fireplace as easy as possible for you and your family. Please let us know how we can accommodate your needs and we will do our best to serve you.

Step 3: Get a New Install and Feel the Warmth

After we confirm your project with a site visit, you place a 50% deposit. Your estimator will even take payment right after the site visit if you would like. (We prefer check, but will accept credit cards with a small fee.)

Once you place a deposit, we send your order to be ordered then schedule your install. Scheduling labor includes the installation from us including any other work that needs to be completed such as running gas line or electric. On average, we are able to get you a scheduled install date within 2-4 business days.

If you are waiting for your new install, this is a great time to get your resources in order, especially if you are burning wood or pellet, buy that fuel and store it while the weather is warm.

Buy your wood rack, ash vac, ash bucket, shovel, poker, and more! (Hearth Pro Tip: If you are buying a wood stove or pellet fireplace insert, figure out where you will source and store fuel. You need to season your wood for a year or more before it is ready. A reliable wood moisture meter is a blessing to determine if your firewood is in the ideal moisture range of 16% to 20%.)

We came here to look for a wood stove, and had a great experience. The front desk ladies and salesman were all great. We came in with our 5 kids, and they were super kind to them. We got a price on a stove. When we left, I called around to five local shops, and all were considerably more expensive. We will definitely be buying from them when we are ready. Highly recommend!!

My wife Jill and I bought a Harman (top of the line ) pellet stove BEFORE the big storm of January 25th. We didn't even price shop them because they came highly recommended. After having our Harman pellet stove for one more than 1 month, We Love it. My electric bill went down $90 for the month (during the coldest snap we've had in years). That's awesome!
